Bio

Martín is part of the firm’s arbitration, dispute resolution, regulated sectors, and public procurement departments. His work encompasses advising, consulting, and representing clients in a variety of legal matters, including administrative disputes, civil cases, construction matters, telecommunications disputes, energy-related matters, as well as commercial and corporate disputes. Martín’s experience also extends to company formation, structuring, and foreign investment protection.

Mr. Martín holds a law degree from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where he stood out for his academic excellence and was awarded the Justinianus scholarship. During his university career, he was actively involved in arbitration matters, participating in several national and international competitions.

Since his graduation, Martín has maintained a continuous commitment to the world of arbitration. He is a member of the Organizing Committee of the National Arbitration Competition organized by the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Ecuadorian-American Chamber of Commerce and the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the ICC Ecuador Young Arbitrators Subcommittee, demonstrating his dedication and leadership in this field.

In addition to his initial training, Martín has continued to cultivate his professional experience and knowledge. He completed a Master of Laws (LLM) at University College of London, where he specialized in arbitration and financial law. His thesis focused on the valuation of damages in investment law and its limitations, which demonstrates his deep interest and expertise in these areas of law.
