Bio

Mario Fernández is an associate at CorralRosales. He has over 5 years of experience advising in public procurement, administrative, regulatory, corporate, and energy matters.

He advises a multinational pharmaceutical group as in-house counsel on day-to-day legal issues. His service is business-oriented and is based on his specific knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. In this industry, he has advised on projects related to promoting and advertising medicines, pharmacovigilance, infrastructure and regulatory compliance for manufacturing plants, and distribution and logistics operations contracts.

Mario also participates and advises in operations and projects related to the energy industry, such as implementing distributed generation systems, generation and self-generation projects, category changes (regulated to non-regulated consumer), and drafting and negotiating PPAs.

In the corporate area, Mario advises on contractual and business matters. In the public procurement area, Mario advises on the pre-contractual, negotiation and execution stages of public contracts, and advises on auditing processes and special examination by the Ecuadorian control bodies.

Mario is a graduate of Universidad Católica del Ecuador. He is a specialist in Administrative Law from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. Mario also holds a master’s degree in Administrative Law and Public Procurement from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. He has attended continuing education courses.
