Fernanda Inga is a Senior Associate at CorralRosales. She has more than 10 years of working experience in matters related to international trade, customs, commercial and tax law; in which over 6 years she worked in the customs administration of Ecuador, holding the positions of Advisor to the General Directorate and Director-Legal Advice
Fernanda leads the international trade and customs area of CorralRosales, advising both in consulting and preventive compliance matters, as well as representing local and international clients in administrative and judicial disputes.
In the customs area, Fernanda advises foreign trade operators on compliance with the formalities and requirements that regulate the entry or exit of persons, goods, and means of transportation; the payment of taxes and other charges required by customs administrations.
In the foreign trade area, Fernanda provides guidance on tariff preferences and rules of origin by application of regional and international trade agreements, programs and benefits to foreign trade, prevention of unfair practices and trade remedies.
In the international trade area, Fernanda handles the negotiation of international commercial contracts, the application of international norms and conventions, documentary credits and other international payment instruments.
Fernanda is an associate professor at Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, Técnica de Machala, Tecnológica Equinoccial and guest lecturer at several academic institutions. She is president and founding member of the Ecuadorian Customs Law Institute, Vice President of the Customs, Foreign Trade and Investment Commission of the ICC Ecuador, and author of several books and publications on customs matters.
Fernanda is a Lawyer and Engineer in Foreign Trade and International Negotiation. She holds a Master’s Degree of International Studies in International Trade Law at the University of Valencia in Spain, having graduated with honors and the grand award for the best student.
