Gustavo García Brito is an Attorney of Counsel at CorralRosales. He has more than 10 years of experience focusing his practice in Foreign Trade and International Commercial Agreements.
Gustavo leads the Foreign Trade and International Trade Agreements Department, making a special emphasis on the development of legal strategies for the internationalization of companies, access to new markets, commercial defense and investment protection. Gustavo has extensive knowledge of the multilateral trading system and the legal instruments that regulate international economic relations.
In the area of Community and Integration Law, Gustavo provides comprehensive legal advice on the interpretation and application of rules that make up the legal system for the Andean Community, especially in relation to the trade of goods and services. Gustavo provides counseling to optimize the participation of economic agents in the expanded market, accessing the benefits of Andean standards. His work includes the defense of clients in administrative and judicial proceedings before the Andean system of dispute resolution.
Gustavo is a graduate from the Universidad San Francisco Xavier in Chuquisaca, Bolivia and holds a specialization degree in ICT Law from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in Bolivia, a Masters Degree in International Economic Law from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, Ecuador. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctorate program in International Studies at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO).
In the academic field, Gustavo is a professor of Foreign Trade Law in the Master’s in Business Law of Universidad Simón Bolívar, Ecuador, as well as in the Specialization in Commercial Law of Universidad de Nariño, Colombia.
